Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. Its mission is to provide love,
a sense of security and comfort to local children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise
in need through the gifts of new, homemade, washable blankets and quilts crafted by volunteers.
Project Linus was named after the security blanket toting character from the Peanuts comic strip.
Charles Schulz was delighted to have Linus inspire blanket makers to help comfort children in need.
Project Linus chapters are located all across the USA and Canada. Canadian chapters are
at Project Linus Canada
and more information and inspiring stories can be found at Project Linus USA
which is the original American website.
These are some of the blankets I have made for my local Project Linus Nanaimo chapter.
